TO THE GUEST HOUSE TABALUGA
Our exclusive, family-run guest house Tabaluga is situated in Transylvania about 40 km away from Sighișoara when heading from Sibiu towards Brașov.
Once a proud village, Roadeș is part of the municipality Bunești. It has been heavily affected by migration, unemployment, poverty and insufficient infrastructure. At the same time, there is evident potential such as the idyllic scenic location, the for the most part preserved traditional rural buildings, the sweeping and impressive fortress church as well as the pure nature, which has virtually been untouched for many years. In this context, the Peter Maffay
Stiftung (foundation) / Fundaţia Tabaluga wants to set a clear sign of awakening with their projects, e.g. the therapeutic holiday home for children, the adventure farm, the physicians house and the carpentry.
The goal is to get rid of infrastructural deficiencies and to create conditions under which locals and guests, children and adults of all nationalities, ethnicities and religions can come together with an open mind and heart.
With the help of many different project partners such as Volkswagen, Martine & Bertram Pohl Foundation, Prof. Hans Georg Näder (CEO Otto Bock HealthCare), many activities are being developed in the houses, which not only the guests in the holiday home for children but also the local population can benefit from.
One of these projects is our guest house, which was originally built for therapists, caretakers of the children’s groups and guests of the foundation. Depending on availability, however, the apartments are also rented to people travelling through Romania and to visitors who are interested in our organisation.
Visit Roadeș and let yourself be inspired by the unique culture and landscape of Romania.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
